I wanted to squeeze in a quick 40 minute maintenance run this morning, but it turned into a family outing. My son, Aidan, enjoys joining in the fun. We headed out to a neighborhood park and did a few laps–he on his bike, Chris and I on foot. I logged a slow 3.2 miles and Aidan rode his bike 2 miles (with some playground breaks along the way). All in all, it was a decent workout and fun for the family as well. Green Meadows is a nice park. Checkout the route below:

This was the perfect day to enjoy the outdoors. After the hard winter we had it’s good news to hear the whole family can get out to enjoy the fresh air and the fun of being together. At Aidan’s age it is so important to teach him the health benefits of exercise and good eating habits. Green Meadows Park seems like the perfect spot to walk/run as the distance is not too far for someone getting in the habit. Keep up the healthy family fun and keep us posted on the Lessons he learns about Nature along the way. I enjoy reading about them.
