sf day 1: stumbling through san francisco’s chinatown, exhausted

We arrived in San Francisco late yesterday morning. With the change to standard time, the two hour time zone difference, and the lack of sleep from the night before, we were all pretty exhausted. Just the same, with nearly a full San Franciscan day before us, we couldn’t confine ourselves to the hotel room. So we staggered out into the streets just for a little sightseeing. Chinatown is only a few blocks from our hotel so off we went.

We walked and walked and walked, debated where to eat but didn’t, and then carried Aidan uphill back to the hotel because he was too tired to walk any farther. (Well, Chris carried him.)

We ended up ordering some Indian food from the 24 hour place across the street and ate in the room. Aidan then zonked out and slept for like 12 hours. Hopefully he’ll be rested for our first official full day in San Francisco. We hope to see the Golden Gate Bridge, explore Fisherman’s Wharf a little, and visit Alcatraz. We’ll see how it goes.
