I took hundreds of photos while visiting the Grand Canyon and I was consistently disappointed with each one. The sheer expanse and utter magnitude of this place can not be adequately represented. As a photographer, I was frustrated and beaten; as a human being, I was awestruck.
Hey! you might be able to get some more out of your pictures!
Do you have adobe lightroom? Try shifting your green/magenta bar about 12 to the green side, lowering your saturation, and raising your blacks to about 7-8. It should really help add some depth. …although no photograph can really convey the beauty and feeling of being there.
I don’t have Lightroom, but I use a program called LightZone on Linux. I’ll try to do what you suggest with that program and repost. Thanks for the comment. Hope all is well with you. It’s great to hear from you.
