Aidan’s been nursing a loose tooth now for the past couple weeks. Today, with one bite of a banana, it popped right out. He was thrilled and there was not a bit of drama. The way he’s been carrying on these past couple weeks about it being loose, I was certain he’d be screaming when it came out. He laughed, though, and was truly excited by this coming of age moment. We had friends over when it happened and we all clapped and gave him high-fives and hugs. In the photo below, he poses for the first photo of his “toothless” period. (Pardon the peanut butter on his cheek.)
Aidan poses moments after losing his first tooth. He was thrilled. Look, I can whistle!
As he sleeps at this moment, he’s eagerly awaiting a visit from the Tooth Fairy. He knows mom and dad would want to keep the tooth as souvenir from this momentous occasion, so he wrote a note to place under his pillow for the Tooth Fairy. It reads as follows:
Dear Tooth Fairy,
I lost my tooth.
Please accept this note, so my mom and dad can keep my tooth.
I wonder what the Tooth Fairy will leave for him. ;-)
