Yesterday Aidan and I took advantage of one of the free days at Brookfield Zoo. It was a great time to go–the weather was fairly warm for the end of October, there were no crowds, and we got to see the Dinosaurs Alive exhibit in its final days. We hadn’t been there since last November so it was fun to explore all the exhibits and the animal houses. Aidan was slightly disappointed when the giraffes and hippos weren’t out and the pachyderm house was closed, but we saw tons of other animals, including alligators, wombats, kangaroos, apes and monkeys (and yes there is a difference), macaws, bats, penguins, etc. And traveling back in time millions of years ago to see life-size dinosaurs was pretty cool too! Here’s some pictures of our field trip.
